A practical response to water damage

Remove the water. Start the drying.

Following a leak or flooding, removing visible water is only part of the job. We inspect the affected areas, discuss what may be dried and identify where further work may be needed.

We can extract water from carpets and floors, pump out larger amounts of standing water, and install dehumidifiers and air movers for suitable drying work.

Whether you need extraction followed by drying, or drying equipment installed on its own, contact us to discuss your property.

How we can help

  • Water extraction from carpets and hard floors
  • Pumping out standing water
  • Dehumidifiers supplied and installed
  • Air movers positioned to support drying
  • Remote drying progress monitoring
  • Furniture removal and storage arranged where needed

All work is subject to assessment, safe access and equipment availability. Furniture removal and storage are provided by a separate company, with arrangements and costs agreed beforehand.

From your first call to drying progress

01

Tell us what has happened

Call with your location, when the water damage occurred, the source if known, and which rooms are affected. Photos can help us understand the situation before attending.

02

Inspect and agree the work

We inspect the affected areas and consider the water source, contamination and condition of the materials. We explain what we can undertake, any limitations, and the proposed charges before starting.

03

Extract and set up drying

Where suitable, we extract water or use pumps, then position dehumidifiers and air movers. We explain any access restrictions and how to keep the drying area closed while the equipment operates.

04

Monitor and review

We monitor air humidity and temperature remotely through connected sensors and an app. We inspect the affected areas before agreeing whether further drying is needed and arranging equipment collection.

Drying equipment installed for your property

Need drying without water extraction?

If standing water has already been removed, we can assess the area and install dehumidifiers, with air movers where appropriate.

We deliver and position the equipment, explain its operation and agree monitoring and collection arrangements. Equipment use, electricity requirements and charges are discussed before installation.

Looking after the affected space

Furniture, flooring and the next steps

Furniture may need to be moved to give access to wet flooring and allow air to circulate. Where needed, we can arrange a separate company to move suitable items into dry storage.

We may lift sections of carpet to inspect underneath, with your agreement. Some materials or belongings may need specialist attention or replacement; we discuss any concerns identified during the assessment.

Where building repairs are planned, extraction and drying can form part of the preparation. Any removal, replacement or repair work should be coordinated with your appointed contractors and insurer where applicable.

Your water extraction and drying questions

How quickly can you attend?

Call 07517 906813 to check our availability. We aim to attend urgent jobs as soon as possible, but cannot guarantee an immediate response. Attendance depends on our existing commitments, location and equipment availability.

Can you remove larger amounts of standing water?

Yes, we can use pumps where appropriate. We assess the water source, access and suitable discharge arrangements before agreeing the work.

Can you save wet carpets and furniture?

Sometimes, but this depends on the water source, contamination, materials and extent of the damage. We inspect the affected items and explain what may be suitable for drying. We cannot guarantee that every item can be saved.

How long will drying take?

Drying time varies with the affected materials, how far moisture has spread and the conditions in the property. We usually advise an initial equipment period of at least a week, with the expected period discussed following assessment. Further drying may be needed following inspection.

Can you install a dehumidifier without doing extraction?

Yes. Following assessment, we can deliver and install a dehumidifier, adding air movers where suitable. We agree the equipment, charges, monitoring and collection arrangements with you.

How do you monitor drying?

We monitor air humidity and temperature remotely through connected sensors and an app to follow drying progress. We inspect the affected areas before agreeing whether further drying is needed and arranging collection. Air readings alone do not confirm that floors, walls or other materials are dry.

Will my insurance pay for the work?

You should check your cover and any authorisation requirements with your insurer. When you appoint us directly, you are responsible for the agreed charges. Any reimbursement is subject to your insurer’s decision and policy terms.

Which areas do you cover?

We provide this service across Perth and Kinross and Dundee, subject to availability.
